ISLAMABAD: Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani, who is on a four-day visit to Djibouti along with a three-member delegation, met with government functionaries and Pakistani diaspora living there.
Meeting the Minister for Health Djibouti Kassim Issack Osman, Senate chairman extended an invitation to him to visit Pakistan. He said Pakistan will soon open its embassy in Djibouti and as a gesture of goodwill between the two countries will ensure free of cost medical education to its students.
He said a special quota may be determined for this purpose. Emphasising the need for increased government to government contact and parliamentary ties, Sanjrani also stressed the need for trade and investment in industry in Djibouti.

ISLAMABAD: Chairman Senate Sadiq Sanjrani has said Pakistan is focusing on the African countries to promote business linkages.
He was talking to President of the Union of Comoros Azali Assoumani in Djibouti. The Chairman Senate also stressed the need for raising voice for the oppressed people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJ&K) and Palestine. He said Kashmir and Palestine disputes must be highlighted at all the international forums.

MUZAFFARABAD: Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) President Sardar Masood Khan has cautioned that any nod from Pakistan about bilateral talks on Kashmir and other consequential agenda will amount to endorsing India’s ongoing fascism and war crimes in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
“These crimes include demographic changes, land grab, killings, detention of thousands of political activists and cultural invasion,” he said in a statement on Wednesday.
Mr Khan maintained that though the ceasefire along the Line of Control (LoC) was a step in the right direction as it saved the lives and properties of more than 600,000 people on the AJK side and thousands others on the other side, the confidence-building measures beyond ceasefire were however fraught with uncertainties about India’s real intentions.

ISLAMABAD: As the nation is observing Eid-ul-Fitr on Thursday, Prime Minister Imran Khan urged the countrymen to strictly observe anti-COVID precautions and show compassion towards the poor while celebrating the festival.
The prime minister, in his message on Eid-ul-Fitr, greeted the nation on the annual festival and thanked Allah Almighty for blessing with the holy month of Ramazan.
He said the objective of making the believers pass through the exercise of patience and thankfulness was to realize others sufferings and hunger.
The realization and compassion towards others was the real strength and identity of human society.
