Pakistan gets US$ 2 billion roll-over from UAE

ABU DHABI, UAE: Pronouncing the United Arab Emirates’ (UAE) decision to roll-over the US$ 2 billion deposit by the Abu Dhabi Fund, the UAE Foreign Minister His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan has affirmed the commitment to extend every possible support to Pakistan.
Talking to the Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi at the UAE’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Abu Dhabi on Monday evening, His Highness Sheikh Abdullah acknowledged the valuable role played by the Pakistani diaspora in the UAE’s growth and prosperity.
Qureshi thanked his UAE Counterpart, underscoring that the decision reflected the warm and brotherly ties between the two Countries.

ABU DHABI (Dunya News) – Pakistan and United Arab Emrites on Tuesday have agreed to exchange business delegations to promote bilateral trade and economic cooperation in different fields.
The agreement was reached in a meeting between Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi and the UAE Minister of State Ahmed Ali Al Sayegh in Abu Dhabi.
During the talks, they discussed greater cooperation in areas of economy and trade.
Shah Mahmood Qureshi highlighted the immense investment potential Pakistan offers to the UAE, which can be best explored through business to business connect between the two countries.

Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have reaffirmed the desire to further strengthen their bilateral relations in different fields.
The understanding came at a meeting between Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi and Emirati Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan in Abu Dhabi.
They reviewed the entire gamut of bilateral relations, discussing ways to enhance cooperation in diverse areas including trade, investment, infrastructure, energy, technology, tourism and manpower.
The two Foreign Ministers also discussed ways to provide fresh impetus to existing Pakistan-UAE ties. In this regard, they agreed to facilitate Ministerial level visits from both sides
The initiative will have to be indigenous, says the foreign minister.

Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi on Tuesday said that dialogue between Pakistan and India would only take place if the situation in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) improves. Kashmir is not bilateral; rather an internationally recognised issue as there are numerous UN Security Council resolutions on it, FM Qureshi said in an interview with Khaleej Times.
The foreign minister added that if India and Pakistan want lasting peace in South Asia, they would have to discuss the IIOJK issue to find a resolution according to the aspirations of the Kashmiri people, as the issue cannot be put on the back burner.

Shah Mahmood Qureshi also apprised the UAE Minister of State about gross human rights violations in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Afghan Peace Process and overall security situation in the region.
