In the Union Budget presented by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Monday, an allocation of ₹18154.73 crore has been made for the Ministry of External Affairs for the financial year 2021-22, which includes aid of ₹7148.95 crore for 20 countries.
According to the Budget statement, a budget of ₹18154.73 crore has been allocated for MEA for the financial year 2021-22. This budget includes the aid of ₹7635.15 crore to 20 countries, international training programmes and also art and cultural heritage projects.

NEW DELHI: India-Japan-Russia maiden trilateral have identified energy, coal mining, transport and logistics, maritime connectivity, diamond processing, agro-industry, forestry, pharma, healthcare, high technology, scientific research, capacity building, tourism, humanitarian fields as potential areas of cooperation in the Russian Far-East to boost their partnership in the Indo-Pacific region. The trilateral also explored potential cooperation in the Russian Arctic rich with natural resources.

New Delhi: India, along with Japan, is now looking to provide a major boost to Prime Minister Narendra Modiâs âAct Far East’ policy by kick-starting a trilateral arrangement with Russia this year under the larger Indo-Pacific framework, ThePrint has learnt.  Â
This India-Russia-Japan trilateral is being explored to give fruition to New Delhiâs vision of making the Indo-Pacific strategic initiative âinclusive and not just against one countryâ, sources told ThePrint.  Â
According to sources, this trilateral cooperation will also be seen as an expansion plan of the Quad grouping, which consists of India, Japan, Australia and the US while furthering Prime Minister Modiâs plan to develop the Russian Far East for which New Delhi had even announced a credit line of $1 billion in September 2019 during his visit to Vladivostok.Â
