Shree Pathology Lab, which was operating without any valid permissions, has been forced to shut down
Following last month’s shocking incident in Shikrapur in which four doctors with fake medical degree were found treating COVID-19
patients at a
COVID centre without having
permission to do so, another but more serious violation has been unveiled - this time from temple town on Wari route – at
Saswad, some 40 km from Pune.
The
Pune district administration on Tuesday sealed Shree Pathology Laboratory Diagnostic Centre in the Sali Aali area of Saswad for allegedly running without any valid permission and conducting rapid antigen tests (RATs) on the suspected patients.
The Indian Council of Medical Research will review 3,000-5,000 people above 45 years of age, of which up to 80% will be those who have taken the AstraZeneca vaccine made locally by the Serum Institute of India. The rest will have taken Covaxin jointly developed by local firm Bharat Biotech and ICMR.
