With 39,130 patients having recovered over the last 24 hours, India s active caseload stands at 4,32,041, the ministry said on Thursday. Active cases at present constitute 1.39 per cent of the total number of cases in India.
The recovery rate has increased to 97.28 per cent, the government s bulletin showed.
The government also said that a total of 3,01,43,850 patients have recovered from the disease across the country so far.
At 2.21 per cent, the weekly positivity rate has remained below 5%. The daily positivity rate, at 2.15 per cent, was less than 3 per cent for the 24th consecutive day.
The health ministry also said that testing capacity has been substantially ramped up in India, and over 43.80 crore Covid-19 tests have been conducted so far.
