Plea in Bombay HC seeks direction to hold the examinations and not mark students without an assessment
The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education on Monday told the Bombay High Court that it was yet to come up with a formula on how to evaluate and mark Class 10 students, whose board examinations were cancelled this year due to the pandemic.

A petition has been filed in the Supreme Court to direct the authorities to cancel the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) exams for Class 12 students.

In wake of the coronavirus pandemic, the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) had last month cancelled the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE class 10) exam. ICSE Result 2021 will be based on the marks obtained in class 9 and class 10 by the students. The board is expected to announce the evaluation scheme soon for the class 10 result.
As per the media reports, CISCE has asked the schools to provide two types of marks – average marks of class 9 and the average marks of class 10. After that, CISCE will announce the assessment criteria for ICSE Result 2021.
Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has launched the Online Facilitation System for Students (OFSS) website (www.ofssbihar.info) for Class 11 Admission 2021-23 and announced to start soon the Online Application process.
