Ahead of Christmas, Christians in Kerala have decided to boycott Halal meat and products saying they cannot consume food item which is against their religious ethos.
Church s Auxiliary for Social Action (CASA) will hold a protest and an awareness campaign two or three days before Christmas.

Kochi (Kerala) [India], December 14 (ANI): The Kerala High Court on Monday dismissed the bail plea of former PWD minister and Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) MLA VK Ebrahim Kunju in connection with the Palarivattom flyover scam case.
A single-judge bench of Justice PV Kunhikrishnan dismisses the plea but granted him the liberty to move a fresh bail plea once he is discharged from the hospital and shifted to jail.
Kunju, who is in judicial custody, is currently admitted to a private hospital.
Last month, a vigilance court in Kochi had refused to grant custody of VK Ebrahim Kunju to the Vigilance Bureau in the Palarivattom flyover scam case due to his medical condition.

Thiruvananthapuram: The third and the final phase of the local body polls concluded in Kerala on Monday in the four northernmost districts, with 78.62 per cent turnout being recorded, according to the State Election Commission. As per the latest details issued by the SEC, the Kozhikode district recorded the highest turnout with 78.98 percent, followed by Malappuram (78.86) and Kannur 77.54) Kasaragod recorded the lowest voter turnout with 77.14 per cent.
