KASARAGOD: Congress state president Mullappally Ramachandran s last-day appeal to the LDF supporters to vote for the UDF in Manjeshwar to stop the BJP has not gone down well with the LDF and the BJP.
The UDF candidate AKM Ashraf endorsed the view of Ramachandran. The LDF is not in the picture in Manjeshwar and so all the secular voters should come together and elect me and defeat the BJP, said Ashraf.

About 33 lakh voters are expected to reach polling booths in Malappuram district to elect 16 representatives to the Assembly when the State goes to the polls on Tuesday.
Malappuram has the largest number of 3,321,038 voters in the State. The Tirur constituency has the largest number of voters (229,458) and Eranad (179,786) the lowest.

Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala) [India], April 5 (ANI): Three alliances, the ruling Left Democratic Front (LDF), the United Democratic Front (UDF) and the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), are pitted against each other in the Assembly elections to be held in Kerala on Tuesday.
The LDF consists of CPI(M), CPI, Kerala Congress(M) and other smaller parties whereas UDF consists of the Indian National Congress, Indian Union Muslim League, Kerala Congress, Revolutionary Socialist Party and other smaller parties. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Bharath Dharma Jana Sena are the main constituents of the NDA.
