New Delhi [India], June 9 (ANI): Expressing pride that several Indian higher education institutes featured in the coveted Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings, Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal (Nishank) on Wednesday said the country is emerging as a 'Vishvaguru' or world leader.

IISc, Bengaluru, which has been ranked the world’s top research university, achieving a perfect score of 100/100 for this metric. As per the 18th edition of the QS World University Rankings 2022, IIT Bombay secured the 177th position followed by IIT Delhi at 185 and IISc Bengaluru at 186 in the overall university rankings globally. Though IIT Bombay dipped five places this year to 177 from its 2021 rank of 172, it is India s top-ranked institution for the fourth consecutive year at the QS World University Rankings.
