The district has got another Kendriya Vidyalaya as the Union Education Ministry has decided to open a new school at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Ropar campus on project mode.
The whole expenditure from construction to providing infrastructure and also salaries to the school staff will be borne by the IIT. Earlier, a Kendriya Vidyalaya was opened four years ago in 2017 at Khanpur village.
According to IIT Ropar spokesperson, the school will begin from classes I to V. The admission for Class I will begin in March 2021, whereas the admission for classes II to V will begin in April 2021.
