As facial recognition technology gains a foothold in the country, activists are questioning the police’s surveillance plans in Lucknow, the capital city of Uttar Pradesh state. “Equipped with artificial intelligence, the cameras will perform multiple actions simultaneously capturing data, analyzing it and sending alerts when required,” said Lucknow police commissioner D.K. Thakur.

Qapita secures investment from East Ventures New Delhi, Feb 3 (UNI) Qapita, a Singapore-based provider of digital equity management SaaS solutions, on Wednesday announced that it has secured an undisclosed strategic investment from East Ventures.
