The campus of the premier institute turned into a COVID-19 hub with over 100 students and staff testing positive for the deadly virus in the past few days, thereby, forcing the administration to shut down its academic zone, sources said. There are 774 students on campus. The students who were infected were hostel inmates. A total of 444 persons had undergone COVID-19 tests. The scholars and staff tested positive for the disease have been shifted to an exclusive facility for the disease at the King Institute of Preventive Medicine and Research.
