The Taliban have seized dozens of districts in recent weeks and are now thought to control about a third of the country, making new gains on a daily basis. So far provincial capitals have remained under government control.

China Trolls Trump with Invite to Heavily-Censored Weibo
China’s state-run
Global Times on Thursday relayed a mocking “warm welcome” from Chinese social media users to former U.S. President Donald Trump, inviting him to join China’s heavily-censored Weibo microblogging platform now that he has filed a lawsuit against Facebook and Twitter.
Trump filed a class-action lawsuit against Facebook, Twitter, Google, and their respective CEOs over their censorship practices on Wednesday. Trump and his colitigants, the America First Policy Institute, invited Americans who have been deplatformed by big tech to join the case.

Minister for Information and Broadcasting Chaudhry Fawad Hussain on Friday said PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz were politically immature and totally ignorant of the history of Kashmir and their struggle for freedom.
Commenting on the speeches of Bilawal and Maryam during the AJK election campaigns, Fawad said both of them were trying to replace their parents in politics, who had looted and plundered billions of rupees from the national exchequer while in power. Maryam’s father (Nawaz Sharif) had even been declared an absconder by the courts, he added.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and New Vietnamese PM Pham Minh ChÃnh will be speaking to each other on Saturday. The talks will happen around 11 15 am IST and comes as part of growing engagement between the 2 countries. This is the first conversation between the two leaders after Pham took charge as the PM of Vietnam. Pham Minh ChÃnh took charge in April of the year and has served in various positions of the govt.
