Photo: Collected Star Digital Report Star Digital Report Two imams have been arrested for allegedly spreading rumour and taking part in Hefajat-incited violence in Brahmanbaria, according to a press release sent from the Special Branch of the district police. Delwar Hossain Belali, a member of Hefajat district committee and Imam of Bangabandhu High School Jame Mosque; and Iqbal Hossain, Imam of Harinadi Jame Mosque, were arrested at Ghatura village early today. According to the police, the duo spread rumour over Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi s recent visit to Bangladesh. They joined in the violence and also provoked Hefajat men to carry on subversive activities by giving announcements from the respective mosques during the mayhem.
