Indian External Affairs Minister Dr. S Jaishankar formally inaugurated a new Indian Cultural Centre in the capital’s Gulshan area on Thursday. Inaugurating the centre, Dr. S Jaishankar said he is confident that the new cultural centre will be a centre of energy for the very unique relationship between Bangladesh and India. He highlighted the importance of culture in the daily life and shared cultural heritage between the two countries. “I am delighted to dedicate this new cultural centre to friendship between our  two friendly countries,” said the Indian Minister.

Indian External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar is scheduled to arrive on Thursday on a brief visit to discuss Modi s trip. Jaishankar is likely to arrive by a special aircraft on Thursday morning and will leave Dhaka the same day.
