India s Active Caseload stands at 1 46 lakh today; Daily recoveries more than the daily new cases in the last 24 hours

Coronavirus, India (Xinhua/IANS) Delhi: February 24: India has been containing the country’s Active Caseload under 1.50 lakh. The active cases are 1,46,907 today. The present active caseload now consists of 1.33% of India’s total Positive Cases. 13,742 new daily cases have been recorded in the last 24 hours whereas 14,037 recoveries registered in the last 24 hours. It has led to a net decline of 399 cases in the total active caseload. In last one week, 12 states have reported more than 100 average daily new cases. These are Maharashtra, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Punjab, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, West Bengal, Telangana, Delhi and Haryana. Two States, Kerala and Maharashtra both report more than 4,000 average daily new cases in past one week.

File image  |  Photo Credit: IANS New Delhi: As many as 11,610 new COVID-19 cases and 100 deaths were reported in India in the last 24 hours, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) said on Wednesday. With the new cases, the coronavirus tally in the country has reached 1,09,37,320 including 1,36,549 active cases and 1,06,44,858 discharges. The death toll has mounted to 1,55,913 with the loss of 100 more lives due to the virus in the last 24 hours. As per Health Ministry, 88,57,341 vaccine doses were administered through 1,90,665 sessions till Tuesday evening.

The recoveries have surged to 1,06,33,025 with 11,805 more patients having recuperated in a day, and India s Recovery Rate of 97.32 percent is amongst the highest in the world, it said in its update of cases till 8am. The difference between the recovered and active cases has further increased to 1,04,96,153, the ministry underlined. In another positive development, 31 states and UTs have reported a recovery rate of more than the national average. Daman and Diu and Dadra and Nagar Haveli have a recovery rate of 99.88 percent, the ministry said.
