Posted on What is GNIOT? The Greater Noida Institute of Technology, (GNIOT) is an Engineering college at the forefront of management and technical education. The All-India Council of Technical Education approved GNIOT, affiliated to Dr. A.P.J. Kalam Technical University, is in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India.   During the challenging times of the pandemic, many families have suffered both financial setbacks and loss of lives. Some families lost the sole or principal earning member. Other families fell victim to job and business losses. Several students had to drop out of schools and colleges as the families could not meet the fees. Many of the victims had hoped for a miracle to rescue them from the crisis.

The IGNOU was offering the two courses through distance learning, however, the courses were discontinued after the University Grants Commission (UGC) said they are in violation of norms and technical courses cannot be offered through distance learning mode. IGNOU was conducting the two courses through distance learning mode and litigation were going on in various courts regarding the validity of these courses.

Process set into motion for reverting back promotees having invalid degrees

Nishikant Khajuria JAMMU, Jan 1: Though late, the Public Works (Roads & Building) Department has set into motion the process of reverting back the Diploma Engineers who were enjoying promotion benefits on the basis of degrees obtained through distance mode, which have been declared invalid by Supreme Court of India. Official sources told the Excelsior that all the Engineering graduates of PWD (R&B), who have obtained degrees through distance mode from the universities/academic bodies other than AMIE, have been directed to submit their degree to the department for genuineness and validity of the document from the concerned institutions in light of the Supreme Court judgement.
