Admission Overseeing Committee issues show cause notice to BMS Educational trust seeking a response in 10 days
The Admission Overseeing Committee (AOC) has accused the BMS Educational Trust, which runs two engineering colleges in the city, of blocking seats and selling them at exorbitant prices.
New Delhi : All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) will present the AICTE’s Lilavati Award 2020 on April 11, 2021, at 04.00 PM. The venue of the event is the AICTE auditorium, Vasant Kunj, New Delhi, where Dr Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’, Hon’ble Minister of Education, and Mrs Smriti Irani, Hon’ble Minister of Textiles & Hon’ble Minister of Women and Child Development will felicitate the winners.
The AICTEs Lilavati Award is based on the theme of ‘ Women Empowerment ‘ and participants who compete to get this award have submitted details of their work along with photographs and short video clips that showcase their works in the categories that include, Women’s Health, Self-Defense, Sanitation and Hygiene, Literacy, Women Entrepreneurship, and Legal Awareness.

Court terms it ‘completely unacceptable’
The Madras High Court on Wednesday termed as “completely unacceptable” a decision taken by the State government in August last year to cancel the arrear examinations of all arts and science, engineering and MCA students, except those pursuing final year or final semester of their course, by citing the spread of COVID-19 and letting them clear the arrear papers solely on the basis of internal assessment and their past performance.
