Labour Codes may get implemented before April 1: Report
Twenty nine central labour laws have been consolidated into four codes on occupational safety, minimum wages, and social security.

The four labour codes passed by Parliament in September 2020 may get implemented ahead of April 1 as planned earlier,

The Industrial Relations Code, 2020, the Code on Social Security, 2020, and the Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions Code, 2020, were passed by Parliament in 2020, whereas the Code on Wages was passed during the monsoon session of Parliament in 2019.
An iPhone parts supplier has been accused of using Uighur Muslims as forced labour at its factories in China.
The US-based Tech Transparency Project alleges that thousands of Uighur workers from Xinjiang were sent to work for Chinese firm Lens Technology in labour transfers which watchdogs have linked to human rights abuses.
The Apple supplier, which makes glass screen covers for iPhones, is said to have received Uighur workers in conditions which hinted at involuntary labour and political education .
Apple denied the allegations published in the Washington Post, saying it had confirmed that Lens Technology was not using transferred Uighur workers.

The majority of the Central trade unions on Thursday boycotted the Labour and Employment Ministry’s consultation on the draft rules for the four labour codes enacted by the government in 2019 and 2020, terming the exercise a “farce”.
