Richmond School Board appoints new District 3 member Kristen Brunton

View Comments RICHMOND, Ind.  The Richmond Community School Board met in special session Friday morning to appoint Kristen Brunton as the new District 3 board member. Brunton will take the official oath of office the board s next meeting on June 16, and her term will expire Dec. 31, 2022. Brunton will replace board member Suzanne Derengowski, who announced her resignation on May 5 after 20 years of service. “Education is a passion of mine,” Brunton said in a release. “To have the opportunity to be part of a board that makes policies that directly impact students is powerful. I bring a plethora of educational expertise to the board as well as a fresh perspective as a past teacher and current parent. It’s exciting to be able to give back to the RCS community in this capacity.”
