This makes 734,736 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Indiana since the pandemic began, and 13,054 confirmed deaths – along with 417 probable COVID deaths. The results of a total of 7,087 COVID-19 tests were reported back Saturday. The Indiana Department of Health reminds Hoosiers to go to www.coronavirus.in.gov to find a testing site, and to https://ourshot.in.gov for a COVID-19 vaccination site. Those without access to a computer or who require assistance should call 211.

April 28: Northeast Indiana COVID Map Varies For Community Spread

Credit Screenshot of the Indiana Department of Health There are now four northeast Indiana counties in the state’s safest zone for COVID-19 spread, but there are also four in the state’s second-worst zone.   According to the Indiana Department of Health on Wednesday, Adams, Huntington, Wabash and Wells counties are all in the “blue”, measured by 7-day positivity rates and cases per 100,000 residents.   DeKalb, LaGrange, Steuben and Whitley counties are all in the “orange”, with positivity scores ranking from 9.4 to 14.5 for the past seven days.   One new death was reported in Allen County, bringing that county’s total to 673 the number killed by COVID-19. Allen County remains in the “yellow”, the state’s second-best category.

2nd mass vaccination clinic underway at Indianapolis Motor Speedway

Apr 1, 2021 / 06:54 PM EST INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) It’s Round 2 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway: IU Health, IMS and the Indiana Department of Health on Thursday launched a 16-day vaccination clinic, just like that one offered over four days in March. The goal for April is to administer up to 96,000 vaccines. The clinic will offer 6,000 shots per day of the single-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine. Over 1,000 IU Health employees have signed up to work the clinic. Many of the first volunteer shifts will be filled by physicians, nurses and support staff who have worked in IU Health’s COVID-19 wards during the pandemic.
