Eightfold AI, a talent matching platform, said on Thursday it raised $220 million in a funding round led by SoftBank Group Corp s (9984.T) Vision Fund 2 that doubled the company s valuation since the previous funding round to over $2 billion.
Eightfold AI helps companies evaluate talent by scraping data from company sources such as sales and customer management or human resources platforms along with public data from patents, publications or design portfolios.
âWe will integrate with all those systems and bring the employee data all in one place and use that to build what we call a 360 degree profile of each and every employee,â said Ashutosh Garg, founder and CEO at Eightfold AI.

INDIANAPOLIS 13 Investigates has spent months reporting on massive fraud impacting Indiana’s unemployment assistance programs. But is the state now reaching out to contact people about that fraud or are Hoosiers being targeted by yet another scam?
The claim
Over the past week, VERIFY been getting lots of questions about text messages supposedly originating from the Indiana Department of Workforce Development. The messages are asking recipients to click on a link to verify their identity so they can continue to get unemployment payments.
Viewers like Chris Jackson are understandably skeptical, writing to VERIFY to ask “Is this real?” Other people have also flagged the text messages as suspicious, especially because they live out of state or have never applied for unemployment benefits in Indiana.
With recent changes to the state’s unemployment insurance program, the Indiana Department of Workforce Development is reminding Hoosiers of the many resources available to assist with training and employment opportunities.
Restaurants all across the Region have been struggling to find staff despite raising pay, posting frequent ads and even offering signing and recruitment bonuses in some cases.
