Year Graduated
Where did your MSU Urban & Regional Planning degree take you?
After graduating from MSU in Spring 2017, I attended Indiana University’s O’Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs. In 2019, I graduated with a Master’s in Public Affairs (MPA) and started working for Saugatuck Township as the Township Manager. While in this role, the Township Team implemented new policies, processes, and procedures as well as initiated long-term planning projects that not only benefit the community immediately, but set it up to be successful in the future.
Diane Vukovic loves newts, and is devastated that they are dying off.
The owner and author of the blog Mom Goes Camping told Salon by email that she spends a lot of time in nature, backpacking and camping, and particularly enjoys a glacier lake in the mountains of Kosovo perched 6,500 feet above sea level.

You ve got to understand that newts are very sensitive to pollution, so seeing newts in the wild is always a thrill: I know I ve found an unspoiled place in nature. But, over the past few years, I started seeing fewer and fewer newts on our trips to the lake.

As he steps into office this week, President-elect Joe Biden brings an ambitious plan to address climate change, and with Democrats in control of Congress for the first time in a decade, he may have the opportunity to accomplish some of his loftiest goals.
“It’s enormous,” said Susan Glickman, Florida director of the Southern Alliance for Clean Energy, one of many climate advocates, scientists and concerned citizens looking forward with optimism.
Biden’s goals include carbon-free electricity by 2035, more wind and solar to get the nation to net-zero emissions and 100% clean energy by 2050. He also wants to upgrade millions of buildings and homes to be more energy efficient, plug abandoned oil and gas wells, reclaim mines and make environmental justice a key consideration.
