(INDIANAPOLIS) – Indiana Attorney General-elect Todd Rokita has selected Lori Torres to serve as Chief Deputy Attorney General and Chief of Staff in his new administration beginning January 11, 2021. Torres is the current Inspector General for Indiana, appointed to that post in 2017 by Governor Eric Holcomb.

She is a skilled lawyer of the highest integrity and exactly the type of leader we need to take action for the citizens of our great state on day one,” said Attorney General-Elect Rokita.

But before her death, the physician shared her frustrations with the care she received at IU Health North, claiming that her negative experience was motivated by the color of her skin.

Who was Moore?
Mooreâs family told the New York Times that she was born in Jamaica but grew up in Michigan. She studied engineering at Kettering University and earned her medical degree from the University of Michigan Medical School.
HAMMOND- The United States Attorneyâs Office announced that Gary T. Bell is now the Acting United States Attorney.
The Vacancies Reform Act (VRA), 5 U.S.C. § 3345(a)(1), provides that when a presidentially appointed U. S. Attorney resigns, the First Assistant U.S. Attorney (âFAUSAâ) of that office automatically becomes Acting U.S. Attorney. As a result of Thomas L. Kirschâs resignation, Gary T. Bell is now the Acting United States Attorney for the Northern District of Indiana.
Mr. Bell has held the FAUSA position since earlier this year and has been in a Supervisory Attorney position since 2014. Mr. Bell joined the U.S. Attorneyâs office in June of 1999 as an Assistant United States Attorney. At that time, Mr. Bell focused on violent and drug related crimes and worked mostly with the GRIT task force.

Debora Jackson will be the next dean of the Robert A. Foisie Business School at Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Massachusetts. She will become dean on January 1.
