WOLCOTTVILLE â A Ohio man delivering cattle to a farm inadvertently backed over a 15-month-old boy Monday.
The boy died from the injuries at Parkview Regional Medical Center, according to a news release from the LaGrange County Sheriff s Department.
Police did not identify the boy.
According to the sheriff s department, Michael E. Norris, 28, of the 10400 block of S.R. 15, Montpelier, Ohio, had arrived at a farm in the 3500 block of South C.R. 500E, Wolcottville, in a 2006 Dodge Ram 3500 pickup with a trailer of calves.
After talking with Norris, the victim s father and older siblings went into a barn to prepare for the arrival of the calves, according to LaGrange County Sheriff s Department Detective Lt. Don Faust.
The missing boater has been identified as Terry L. Evans, 64, of Danville, Illinois.

VERMILLION COUNTY, Ind. Indiana Conservation Officers are searching for a missing boater after a boat was found overturned in the Wabash River. The missing boater has been identified as Terry L. Evans, 64, of Danville, Illinois.
The report of the overturned boat came in Friday near the Duke Energy Plant in Vermillion County.
A Duke Energy employee called 911 after seeing the overturned boat near a low head dam located on a feeder creek along the Wabash River.

DANVILLE, Ind. (WISH) A man has died from injuries suffered in an off-road vehicle crash that occurred Friday night, Indiana Conservation Officers said on Saturday.
Responders were dispatched to the 7300 block of West U.S. Route 36 near Danville, Indiana, at approximately 10 p.m. Chase Lynch, 20, of Danville, was found unresponsive and transported to IU Methodist Hospital where he died Saturday morning, according to an Indiana Department of Natural Resources report.
Authorities say a preliminary investigation indicated the off-road vehicle Lynch was operating hit a ditch in a cornfield, causing the vehicle to flip and ejecting Lynch.
Per the report, Lynch was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. The incident is still under investigation.
