INDIANAPOLISÂ (Jan. 25, 2021) â The state of Indiana is currently accepting nominations for the Governor s Century and Half Century Business Awards, which honor Hoosier businesses that have remained in operation for at least 100 or 50 years, respectively, and have demonstrated a commitment to serving the community.Â
Applications are due March 31, 2021. Qualifying criteria is as follows:Â
The business must have had continuous operations in Indiana for more than 50 or 100 years by Dec. 31, 2020.
The business must have participated in the same line of work for the duration of its operations. If different, an explanation of the evolution into the current business must be provided on the nomination form.Â

Muncie, IN– Indiana Secretary of Career Connections and Talent Blair Milo virtually joined state and local officials today to announce the East Central Indiana Region as Indiana’s tenth 21st Century Talent Region, a statewide designation awarded to Indiana communities focused on working collaboratively to attract, develop and connect talent.
State of the State: Holcomb Proposes “Regional Recovery Program” to Accelerate Economy’s Rebound From Pandemic
(INDIANAPOLIS) The coronavirus pandemic shaped both the content and delivery of Governor Holcomb’s fifth State of the State address.
Instead of appearing in a packed House chamber, Holcomb delivered a speech pretaped in a studio with no audience, in what he acknowledged was a State of the State “unlike any other.” But the governor declared Indiana’s “foundation has held strong” amid the upheaval and grief of a pandemic which has killed more than 9,000 Hoosiers.
Holcomb says the discipline Indiana showed in better times has positioned the state to accelerate into the recovery years ahead of other states. He’s proposing a “Next Level Regional Recovery Program” to assist that effort. The program is similar to former Governor Mike Pence’s Regional Cities Initiative in focusing on regions of the state instead of individual cities or counties. But th
