Dhannipur mosque project to kickstart on Jan 26 in Ayodhya
The Dhannipur mosque project will formally begin in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, on January 26 with a symbolic foundation breaking ceremony.

The Dhannipur mosque project, which includes a hospital, a museum, a library, a community kitchen, the Indo-Islamic Cultural Research Centre, a publication house, besides a mosque, will formally begin in Ayodhya on January 26.
The Indo-Islamic Cultural Foundation (IICF) trust said it was planning to hold a ceremony to mark the beginning of the project on January 26. A tree sapling plantation drive and raising of the national flag will mark the formal beginning of the project, it said.

Hussain said, The Trust is thinking very seriously over the proposal of dedicating our Ayodhya Mosque project to the great freedom fighter Maulvi Ahmadullah Shah. We have got suggestions regarding the same from different platforms. It is a good suggestion. We will officially announce it after deliberations .
Shah was martyred on 5 June, 1858. British officers like George Bruce Malleson and Thomas Seaton have made a mention of his courage, valour and organisational capabilities. Malleson has repeatedly mentioned Shah in the History of Indian Mutiny, a book on the Indian revolt of 1857.
During the freedom struggle, Shah had launched revolts in the Awadh region. He made the local mosque, Masjid Sarai, located in Chowk area of Faizabad his headquarters. As he liberated Faizabad and larger part of Awadh region, he used the premises of this mosque to hold meetings with rebel leaders.

The foundation stone for the mosque to be built in Dhannipur village, Ayodhya as per the orders of the Supreme Court will be laid on 26 January Republic Day, reports

The Indo Islamic Cultural Foundation (IICF) has said that the mosque will be dedicated to the 1857 war hero Ahmadullah Shah.
Shah was referred to as the âLighthouse of Rebellionâ in the Awadh region during Indiaâs first war of independence against the British.
âThe trust is seriously contemplating on the proposal to dedicate the Ayodhya mosque project to the great freedom fighter Maulvi Ahmadullah Shah. We have received suggestions from different platforms and will officially make an announcement soon after deliberation,â Athar Hussain, secretary of IICF, was quoted in the report.
