JAKARTA (The Jakarta Post/Ann): Asean members like Indonesia have been working the diplomatic channels to set up a special Asean ministerial meeting to avert one of the biggest political crises in the region, as civil disobedience continues in Myanmar two weeks after its government was ousted by a military coup.
“Diplomatic efforts are still underway” at various levels, said Indonesian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Teuku Faizasyah in cautious discussions with The Jakarta Post on Monday (Feb 15).

JAKARTA, Feb. 13 (Xinhua) At least 3,157 overseas Indonesians have been confirmed positive for COVID-19, and the number of recoveries in this group has reached 2,292, according to the Indonesian Foreign Ministry on Saturday.
In this group, one more case was recorded in addition to the total positive cases, and one more patient recovered from the disease in the last 24 hours, the ministry said, adding that the new positive case was reported in China s Taiwan, and the new recovered patient was declared in Britain.
Furthermore, 694 overseas Indonesians are still under medical treatment, and the death toll in this group remains at 171, the ministry noted. Enditem
