Prince Harry has accepted an apology and damages from a British tabloid over two articles published last year that claimed he has turned his back on the Armed Forces.
One of the articles published in Mail Online claimed that a Top General felt the Duke of Sussex had snubbed the Royal Marines after stepping down as a senior member of the British royal family in March 2020. It also stated that the royal, who succeeded his grandfather Prince Philip as the Captain-General of the Royal Marines in 2017, ignored correspondence from Lord Dannatt, a former Chief of the General Staff.

The Invictus Games for disabled war veterans have been postponed for a second year because of the coronavirus pandemic and are now set to take place in 2022, organisers said on Tuesday.
The Olympic-style sports event strongly backed by Britain s Prince Harry was initially scheduled for The Hague in the Netherlands in 2020 but was delayed until May 29-June 5 2021. The Invictus Games Foundation and the organising committee, after consultation with the teams, partners and stakeholders, intend to move the event to the spring of 2022, the organisers said in a statement.

Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex, has accepted an apology from Associated Newspapers over the publication of what he described as âbaseless, false and defamatory stories.â For those who do not know, His Royal Highness had sued the newspaper group for libel over twoâ almost identicalâ articles published in October 2020 that claimed he had snubbed the Royal Marines after his royal exit.
Much to his disappointment, the Queen took them from him and then agreed to hold the positions in abeyance for a year in case Harry, 36, and Meghan, 39, decided they had made a terrible mistake and wanted to return to the Firm.
But there is no sign of that happening. As much as Harry misses hisformal links with the military, friends say he and Meghan are happy with their new life with son Archie in an £11million mansion in Montecito.
And senior figures inside the Royal Household have given every indication that the Queen will not be changing her mind about allowing Harry to retain his military patronages if her grandson stays outside the Firm.
