Meghan Markle, Prince Harry reveal 1st Netflix docu-series

LOS ANGELES - Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s first Netflix series will center on the Invictus Games, which gives sick and injured military personnel and veterans the opportunity to compete in sports.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s Archewell Productions announced Tuesday its first series to hit the streaming service. The multi-episode docu-series, titled Heart of Invictus, is in partnership with the Invictus Games Foundation, of which Prince Harry is a patron.

April 6 (UPI) British royal Prince Harry will executive produce a Netflix series about the Invictus Games.
Netflix said in a press release Tuesday that Archewell Productions, the production company Harry launched with his wife, Meghan Markle, in October, will produce the docuseries
Other projects apparently in the pipeline include feature films, tv series and even content for children.
According to the royal pair, the aim of Archewell Productions was to create new video which can “embrace our shared humanity and duty to truth through a compassionate lens,” explains the couple’s mission statement.
With a background and highly impressive resume in acting, this project comes as no difficult task for Meghan who has always been very vocal about her love for content creation and production, starring in the hit TV series Suits for seven years until 2018.
As for Prince Harry, executive producing this series will be a first, but as the proud founder of the games since 2014, we’re sure the royal’s passion and enthusiasm for the event will ring through.

The multi-episode series will follow a group of extraordinary competitors from around the globe, all service members who have suffered life-changing injuries or illnesses on their road to the Invictus Games The Hague 2020, now set to take place in 2022, reads a statement from Netflix.
And expect to see a familiar face: Prince Harry is set to appear in and executive produce the series, in partnership with his patronage, The Invictus Games Foundation. Director Orlando von Einsiedel and producer Joanna Natasegara are also on board.
