Six local photographers are featured in the Photography Open Exhibit on display through the end of February at the Sweetwater County Library in Green River.
Photographers included in this year’s Photography Open are Gary Mortensen, Marni Christensen, Ian Cadena, Jennifer Knox, Terry Sell, and Gerda Dickinson.
The exhibit features varying images, from picturesque landscapes to images of animals. “It’s a beautiful exhibit,” said Assistant Library Director Lindsey Travis. “The photographs are also for sale. You can contact the artists to purchase one of their images.”

Lebanese-born artist Marwan Nahle, currently living in Manila, is exhibiting some of his recent artwork at the Community Fine Arts Center, January 5 - 30. This work titled Angelina represents one of the angels and guardians that frequently appear in Nahle s paintings.
A new exhibit, Realm of the Mystic, opened at the Community Fine Arts Center Tuesday featuring the work of Marwan Nahle, a combination of paintings and mixed media works he calls recycled art.
Marwan Nahle is a Lebanese-born painter and multi-media artist who has lived and worked internationally for the past 30 years. He has exhibited his work in Lebanon as well as France, Germany and several U.S. states and other foreign countries. He has his work in museums in Lebanon and Utah and he is currently living in Manila, Utah.

Local photographers can enter the Sweetwater Photo Open that will hang in Sweetwater County Library in Green River in January and February. Open to all subjects such as landscapes, people and animals, such as this one by Debora Soule.
Local photographers have an opportunity to display their creative work at the Sweetwater County Library in Green River. The Sweetwater Photo Open is an annual event hosted by the Sweetwater County Library System and is scheduled for January and February.
The exhibit will open Jan. 12 and be on display through Feb. 27. The deadline to enter is Jan. 9 at 4 p.m.
