SAN DIEGO COUNTY, California The Sweetwater Union High School District continues to roll out vaccination sites at school locations throughout its district. Students in National City were the first to be able to receive the vaccine at school last month.
News 8s LaMonica Peters spoke with the Superintendent of the district about its plan and why he believes it s so important for South Bay students to have access to the vaccine.

Courtney Sue Arciaga saw beauty without flaw in every inch of her 4-foot-tall, 68-pound body, a time machine that had been set too fast since the day she was born.
“For 33 years, she looked herself in the mirror and she had no issues,” said her mother, Sue Arciaga.
Courtney Arciaga died of complications associated with progeria on Dec. 31. She was 33 and, according to her family, the oldest person in the world with the progressive genetic disorder.
Arciaga weighed 3 pounds, 15 ounces when she was born on Aug. 28, 1984. It was clear right away from her features that she wasn’t a normal baby.
Monday was the first day of in-person instruction since the pandemic for some middle and high school students in the Sweetwater Union High School District.
