A pub in Liscard was set on fire in the early hours of this morning in an suspected arson attack. Emergency services were called to The Vineyard Pub of Seaview Road at 1.00am to reports of a fire at the premises. Nobody was reported injured but severe damage has been caused to the interior and exterior of the pub. Detective Inspector Matt Caton said: “Thankfully nobody was hurt in this incident, but there are a number of businesses and residential addresses on this street who were put in real danger by the reckless actions of the offenders.” A window at the pub was smashed at 12.45am by two white men who were wearing face coverings and grey jackets before they started a fire and left on foot towards Edinburgh Road.
