Doha: Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS) signed yesterday a cooperation agreement with Al-Ahli Sports Club, with a view to supporting humanitarian initiatives in Qatar, exchanging experience, and promoting a culture of voluntary and charitable work among athletes.
The pact was signed by Eng. Ibrahim Abdullah Al-Malki, CEO of QRCS, and Abdullah Yousef Al-Mulla, Chairman of Al-Ahli SC. The signing ceremony was attended by Muna Fadel Al-Sulaiti, Executive Director of Volunteering and Local Development Division at QRCS, and Aref Abdulrahman Al-Abdullah, General Manager of Al-Ahli SC. “This partnership builds on QRCS’s endeavors over its four decades, seeking to create a network of strategic relations with government and other organizations in Qatar,” said Eng. Al-Malki.

President of Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS) Sheikh Abdullah bin Thamer Al Thani met Yemen s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, H E Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak who headed a delegation to discuss the humanitarian situation in Yemen.
The meeting was attended by Ali bin Hassan Al Hammadi, Secretary-General; Eng. Ibrahim Abdullah Al Malki, CEO; Faisal Mohamed Al Emadi, Executive Director of Relief and International Development Division; Mohamed Rashid Al Marri, Director of Communication and Public Relations; Dr. Fawzi Oussedik, Head of International Relations and International Humanitarian Law; and Adel Al Baker, Director of the Office of QRCS’s President.

Doha: Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS) delivered yesterday in-kind donations to Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC), as a support for the vulnerable patients. The donation consisted of wheelchairs, beds, and medical equipment.
An official delegation from HMC visited QRCS headquarters, including Dr. Soad Saidan Al Hamad, Executive Manager of Social Service Department at HMC; Abeer Al Hajri, Officer at HMC s Social Service Department, and Mohamed Othman, Head of Social Service Section at Hamad General Hospital (HGH).
They were received by Eng. Ibrahim Abdullah Al Malki, CEO of QRCS; Dr. Lolwa Hassan Al Obaidli, Head of Community Care at the Volunteering and Local Development Division, and Khalida Ali Mostafa, an empowerment specialist at the same division.
Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS) activated yesterday its Disaster Information Management Center (DIMC) to monitor the recent COVID-19 developments and updates, facilitate coordination among QRCS’s departments, and joint forces with other relevant government organisations.
