The educational institutes in Himachal Pradesh will remain closed till May 1 due to the Covid-19 surge in the state.
The government of Himachal Pradesh has decided to keep all the educational institutes, including schools and colleges, in the state closed till May 1 in view of the rise in Covid-19 cases in the past several days, as per an official statement.

Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education, HPBOSE 10th, 12th Board Exams 2021 have been postponed by the Department of Education. The state government has also postponed Under Graduate examinations to May 17, 2021. Students can get more information on HPBOSE 10th 12th Board Exam 2021 on the official site, hpbose.org. The HPBOSE 10th, 12th Board Exams 2021 were scheduled to begin on April 13, 2021.

The government has decided to postpone the Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBSE) examinations due to the increasing corona cases. The examinations of classes X and XII started yesterday.
A spokesperson of the government said here today that keeping in view a sharp surge in the number of Covid-19 cases and health concerns of students and parents, the government had decided to postpone the ongoing examinations for Class X and XII and undergraduate university examinations starting from April 17. New dates would be released after reviewing the situation. This decision was taken by HPU Vice-Chancellor Sikander Kumar in consultation with senior functionaries of the university.

Amidst rising covid cases across the country, Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBSE) has become the first state education board in north region to hold offline Class X and XII examinations.
The offline board examinations for Class X and XII classes for HPBSE started today. As many as 2.25 lakh students of schools affiliated with HPBSE across the state appeared in their first offline examination in the entire year at centers set up across the state today.
The Chairman of the HPBSE, Suresh Soni while talking to The Tribune said examinations were conducted successfully across the state while taking precautions against Covid. All students who came for examination were thermal screened and it was ensured that every one wore a mask.
