Jammu Tawi, Apr 01: The Covid vaccination drive for all above 45 years of age has commenced in Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory along with whole India.
State Immunisation Officer Dr Shahid told that vaccination for all above 45 years of age was started in J&K on Thursday and on day one, over 43 thousand people got vaccinated. On Thursday 43,364 persons were vaccinated including 21,168 from Kashmir division and 22,198 from Jammu division, he said.
He said till date 823,781 people across J&K have been vaccinated.
Dr. Renu Sharma, Director Health Services Jammu said that on the directions of Government of India, Covid vaccination for all above 45 with or without comorbidity are eligible for COVID vaccination.

More than 15000 Covid vaccine inoculations made in J&K: Dulloo
JAMMU: Marching briskly towards its target of inoculating 112893 health care workers J&K has already inoculated about 15403 workers in more than 100 sessions conducted so far across the Union Territory. These remarks were made in a meeting today chaired by Financial Commissioner Health and Medical Education, Atal Dulloo.
The meeting was attended by Director Health Services Jammu, DG Planning (H&ME), a representative from UNDP and CMOs, Medical Superintendants and health officers.
Principal GMC Srinagar, Director Health Services, Kashmir and Kashmir division based CMOs and Medical Superintendents attended the meeting through video conferencing.

JAMMU/SRINAGAR/ LEH, Jan 18: One person died of COVID-19 in Jammu and Kashmir while 82 others tested positive and 194 recovered from the virus even as vaccination drive resumed today after yesterday’s break and many health workers got the jabs across the Union Territory.
However, in Kargil district of Ladakh, the vaccination drive, which wasn’t launched there on January 16, was inaugurated today by Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC) Chairman-cum-CEC Feroz Khan.
Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Kargil Dr Munawar Hussain Wazir received first shot of COVID vaccine in the district.

JAMMU: Financial Commissioner, Health and Medical Education, Atal Dulloo, today chaired an officers meeting to review de-notifying of Covid-19 dedicated hospitals in Jammu and Kashmir.
