LAHORE (Dunya News) – As the Punjab government has imposed stricter lockdown from 6:00 pm till Sehr in week days besides declaring weekends as closed days, the local administration has warned the masses of strict action over violation of lockdown on Wednesday.
This was announced by Deputy Commissioner Lahore Mudassar Riaz Malik while informing the public through the social networking website Twitter.
He said in his tweet that strict lockdown is in force in Lahore from 6 pm to Sehr, and strict action will be taken against the violators.

RAWALPINDI, Pakistan, Feb 24 (Reuters) - A number of Pakistani military personnel have been penalised for negligence over the escape of a high-profile former Pakistani Taliban figure from custody, an armed services spokesman said on Wednesday.
Liaqat Ali, the former public face of the militant Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and better known by his pseudonym Ehsanullah Ehsan, escaped last year three years after he handed himself in to the military. All those responsible for it were tried and penalised, Major General Babar Iftikhar, spokesman for Pakistan s Armed Forces, told reporters in the city of Rawalpindi where the army is headquartered.

The chief military spokesperson of Pakistan on Wednesday said that action has already been taken against the army officials who were responsible for the escape of former Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) spokesman Ehsanullah Ehsan from their custody.
Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director General Major General Babar Iftikhar, while speaking to foreign journalists at the ISPR office, said that the escape of Ehsan was a very serious matter and after a thorough investigation, action was taken against the responsible army officers.
