Chris and Shirley Van Steen of Carrying Place wanted to share their good fortune. The Van Steen’s purchased some stocks at a low price and when the stocks went up significantly they chose to sell and donate the profits to the Belleville General Hospital Foundation. The couple is giving BGHF almost $30,000.

Christmas came early for Quinte Health Care this year, as the the Belleville General Hospital Foundation delivered another half million dollars.
The BGHF has raised another $500,000 to help purchase priority medical equipment for Quinte Health Care and Belleville General Hospital.
This most recent cheque brings the total that BGHF has donated to Quinte Health Care this year to $1.5-million. Annually, BGHF raises over a million dollars towards the hospital’s replacement equipment needs.
BGHF Executive Director Steve Cook says it’s incredible to raise that amount of money during a pandemic, but there is still a lot more work to do.
