At 6:01am this morning, the most ignorant comment of the day is made.
To the post,
Good on the REPUBLICANS in the House.
Illinois needs a two party system and when Rauner bought the ILGOP and the two caucuses, one thing Rauner tried to purge was friendly labor REPUBLICANS.
The only way the REPUBLICANS here in Illinois can come back (besides deciding that being in a cult is bad and leave the cult leader) is to be welcoming to those who embrace, as it was before, trade labor and the principles of supporting organized labor.

Illinois voters next fall will weigh in on whether the state’s constitution should be amended to include a provision that will establish a fundamental right for workers to unionize, and prevent a future legislature from making Illinois a “right-to-work” state.
Twenty seven other states have right to work status, meaning joining the labor union that represents a particular group of workers isn’t a requirement to get or keep a job. Such measures significantly weaken unions’ collective bargaining power, which also translates to reduced political power.

Many states in the south and west have had right-to-work laws on the books for decades. But in the last 10 years, Republicans and influential business organizations have successfully sold the idea to a handful of states in the south and Midwest, including Illinois neighbors like Indiana, Wisconsin and Kentucky.

The
Contractors Association of Will & Grundy Counties (CAWGC) hosted its annual Contractors Meet & Greet Expo on May 6 at the Grundy County Fairgrounds in Morris, Ill. More than 300 tickets were sold for this popular event, which continues to grow each year.
This event featured a vast display of the newest construction equipment, as well as information on the latest technology and trends in the industry. There were booths where exhibitors were able to display what their company has to offer.
Bob Baish and his crew also cooked kabobs for everyone. Many exhibitors held drawings and the CAWGC raffled a grill and held a 50/50 raffle as well. Sarah Symons of United Rentals was the winner of the 50/50 drawing and kindly donated a portion of her winnings back. A total of $3,690.73 was raised the Joliet Area Community Hospice which is now called Lightways.
