“The beginning of the end” was how Essex County Warden Gary McNamara hopefully described on Wednesday the sprawling new vaccination clinic carved out of the community rinks at the WFCU Centre.
The clinic started Monday, vaccinating people age 80 and up at a rate of six every 15 minutes, or 169 per day. But that number rises to nine every 15 minutes starting Thursday and on Monday a similar centre opens at the Nature Fresh Farms Recreation Centre in Leamington, with plans for additional locations in the city and county as the flow of vaccine swells.
