A powerful spring storm will blow through the Twin Tiers on Wednesday bringing with it a chance of thunderstorms and up to 4 inches of snow.
According to the National Weather Service s office in Binghamton, a storm system will move in late Tuesday through Wednesday with showers, possible thunder, and even some wet snow. Gusty, colder weather is expected into Thursday with a few snow showers.
The threat for thunderstorms will last from late morning to midafternoon Wednesday, with a marginal chance for severe weather northeast and southwest of Binghamton.
Between 1 to 4 inches of snow is expected to fall Wednesday and Thursday, with higher totals expected in the elevated locations in the Finger Lakes and Central New York.
