Case Continues For Newhall Man Charged With Attempted Murder Of A Peace Officer
The man accused of shooting a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputy in Newhall in 2017 returned to court Thursday, only to have the setting for his preliminary hearing pushed to next month.
Monolito Guerra, of Newhall, who was 29 at the time of the crime, allegedly shot and wounded Deputy Albert White at an apartment complex on Bottletree Lane on Nov. 28, 2017.
A woman had called authorities to report that someone pointed a gun at her as she was getting out of her vehicle, LASD officials reported. Deputies also learned that there was possibly a second suspect involved.

As per inmate records and a statement from the DeKalb County Police Department via Twitter, the rapper, whose legal name is Richard Lamar Hawk, was taken into custody and booked into DeKalb County Jail on one felony charge count of murder.
