Police said on Tuesday that the arrested were identified as Boregowda, Aand, Yakub Khan, Lingappa, K Lokesh and V Lokesh. The gang used to change Chassis and Engine number of the stolen tractors at Mandya, Mysore, Tumakuru and register them as new in RTO offices before selling them at a cheap rate. Commissioner of Police Kamal Panth, appreciating the efforts by a team led by Inspector M Prasanth, has announced Rs 30,000 cash prize.

The decision taken by the government was today formally shared by the Karnataka Minister for Primary & Secondary Education S Suresh Kumar with the various districts. Class 6 to 9 students from rural areas would resume their continuous learning by means of the Vidyagama programme. Attendance would not be mandatory. The government had decided on reopening of schools for board classes for the SSLC and PUC students in a high level meeting conducted on December 19. As per the recommendations of the technical committee, the government had decided to make a final call

Vidyagama programme to resume in Karnataka as covid cases decrease News Network December 16, 2020 Chamarajanagar, Dec 16: Karnataka Minister for Primary and Secondary Education S Suresh Kumar on Wednesday said that Vidyagama programme, which was stopped, will be commenced again. Speaking to media here on Wednesday, he clarified that the scheme was stopped on October 10 due to Covid-19 pandemic and now the positive rates have come down to about one per cent. He said the department has undertaken a number of improvements, including the temporary implementation of a new form of security measures at the request of the Supreme Court. The Vidyagama program is set to take place on the premises of government, aided and unaided schools. The online channels of Chandana will continue as usual.
