The Board of Education announced that Dr. Josh Lowe will be Forsyth Central High School’s principal beginning in the 2021-22 school year.
Lowe, currently serving as the school’s assistant principal, has worked in public education for more than 20 years. Moving from his hometown in Dalton, he began his career as a teacher and coach in other districts. He then moved up into administrative roles, serving as an athletic director and as an assistant principal at Jackson High School.

Dr. Denver J. Fowler is currently the chair of the EdD program and professor of PK-12 Educational Leadership at Franklin University in Columbus, Ohio. Prior to his appointment at Franklin University, he served as a program coordinator and assistant professor of educational leadership and policy studies at California State University, Sacramento (CSUS). In addition to this role, Dr. Fowler served as an elected senator on the faculty senate at CSUS. Dr. Fowler is starting his eleventh year in higher education (six years part-time and four years full-time). The Prudential Spirit of Community Awards honored an area student with a $2,500 scholarship, silver medallion and invitation to a virtual celebration for her work addressing the challenges of a changing world.
Heather Paglia, 14, of the Perrineville section of Millstone, was named one of New Jersey’s top youth volunteers of 2021 by The Prudential Spirit of Community Awards, America’s largest youth recognition program based exclusively on volunteer service, according to information provided by Prudential.
She is a student at The Hun School in Princeton.
As a state honoree, Heather will receive a $2,500 scholarship, a silver medallion and an invitation to the program’s virtual national recognition celebration in April, where 10 of the 102 state honorees will be named America’s top youth volunteers of the year, according to the statement.
