Bengaluru (Karnataka) [India], May 13 (ANI): Owing to the sudden increase in COVID-19 cases in Karnataka, the state government has postponed Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) examinations, which was earlier slated to begin from June 21, informed KarnatakaPrimary and Secondary Education MinisterS Suresh Kumar on Thursday. The increasing COVID cases in the state coupled with the concerns of parent-students and many school associations has resulted in this decision. A suitable call will be taken after the second wave of COVID-19 dies down, said the minister.
Kumar has also assured that the revised date will be announced much ahead of schedule.

Bengaluru, May 13 : Amid the ongoing onslaught of the pandemic, Karnataka on Thursday decided to postpone the Class 10 (Secondary School Leaving Certificate - SSLC) state board examination.
Karnataka education minister, S. Suresh Kumar said in a statement released through his office that the fresh dates for SSLC examinations will be announced only after the ongoing Covid second wave subsides.

Kochi (Kerala) [India], April 25 (ANI): Amid the worsening situation due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Kerala s Ernakulam district administration has imposed strict restrictions to contain the spread of coronavirus.
As per the order issued by the District Collector S Suhas, cinema theatres shall be closed until May 2 and film shootings shall be stopped.
Other restrictions included commercial institutions that include shops to operate from 7 am to 5 pm. The hotels and restaurants shall operate from 7 am to 9 pm. In-dining will not be permitted. Only parcel services and takeaway facilities are allowed.

Bengaluru, April 20 : Ending the speculation regarding the examination, Karnataka Education Minister S. Suresh Kumar, after chairing a high-level meeting here on Tuesday, said that the Class 10 (Secondary School Leaving Certificate - SSLC) board examination won t be cancelled or postponed and would be held as per already fixed schedule from June 21, 2021.
The minister appealed to all the students to keep studying. The examinations will be conducted in June and July as decided earlier. There is no change in schedule for Karnataka PUC Examinations 2021, he said.
