THE PRESIDENT: Thank you, Kamala Madam Vice President. Thank you very much.
You know, we’re joined today by the Attorney General, Merrick Garland, who I’ve asked to prioritize gun violence. It’s also good to see the Second Gentleman, who is here. And it’s good to see the First Lady, Dr. Jill Biden, who cares deeply about this issue as well.
And I look out there and I see so many members of Congress who have led in this fight. So many of you who have never given up. So many of you who are in absolutely determined, as Murph and others are, to get this done.

Vice President Kamala Harris has finally moved into the vice presidents official residence at the Naval Observatory grounds in Northwest Washington.
Harris settled into the residence on Tuesday night, and it was delayed for about two months because of the property s renovations.
The official residence is a Queen Anne-style, six-bedroom house, New York Post reported. The house sits on the 12 acres of the 72-acre grounds of the still operational U.S. Naval Observatory (USNO). Previous vice presidents have welcomed various guests into the residence, including dignitaries and foreign leaders.
