State health officials on Saturday announced another 1,010 confirmed and presumptive COVID-19 cases as well as two more deaths, bringing the state’s death toll to 1,492 since the pandemic began and its total caseload to 116,348 cases.
State corrections officials also on Saturday announced another death of an inmate who had tested positive for COVID-19 at the Two Rivers Correctional Institute in Umatilla. The man, whose age was reported as being between 50 and 60 years old, is the 23rd inmate to die after testing positive.
