Prelates bat for extension of travel ban

All should be protected, health and safety must be promoted,” said Santos in an interview. “Travel ban is a great and necessary help and urgent means to achieve these goals,” he added.

In the January 6, 2021 communication, the parish executive says daily masses have been suspended for two days from January 7 to January 8 and that the parish will remain closed following fumigation. The communication also says all prayers in miphakati have been suspended until further notice.

The cases at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Elementary School and St. Patrick Catholic Elementary School were two of seven cases recorded at schools in the city on Sunday. A second staff member at Immaculate Heart of Mary, who was last in the building on Dec. 8, has tested positive.
