A GENEROUS Gourock jeweller has come up with a crafty way to raise cash for a charity currently supporting her good friend who is battling leukaemia. Big-hearted Eilish McArthur, who runs By Eilish - a jewellery business borne out of the pandemic - has pledged to donate funds to Blood Cancer UK throughout the month of March. The 22-year-old product design graduate is selling hand-made earrings in support of Niamh Edelsten, girlfriend of her cousin Euan. She was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukaemia in January. Niamh felt unwell before Christmas and was believed to be suffering from a persistent chest infection.

Betty Kathleen Leaver Betty passed away peacefully at The Royal Star and Garter Home, High Wycombe on 2nd March aged 96. Loving wife of Les Brill and then of Rex and dearly loved mother of Marion and Stephen, mother-in-law of Chris, Gran to Kathryn and Hannah, Great Grannie to Matilda and stepmother to Su and Tony. Under Coronavirus restrictions a private funeral service will be held at St Michael and All Angels Church Hughenden on Wednesday 24th March by invitation only. Flowers welcomed or donations to Alzheimer s UK and The Royal Star and Garter Homes c/o Surman and Horwood Funeral Service 01844 274842.
Alexandria Outlander fanatic s charity cookbook proves a worldwide hit
Margaret MacKinnon, 67, who is originally from Renton was inspired to pull together a collection of classic Scottish recipes after posts on her Facebook group dedicated to the smash-hit TV show proved popular across the globe.
