Vatican City, Jan 21 (Prensa Latina) Pope Francis on Thursday condemned the bomb attacks perpetrated in Tayaran Square and the Bab al-Sharqui market in Baghdad.
In a message to Iraqi President Barham Salih, the Secretary of State of the Vatican, Pietro Parolin, noted that the Supreme Pontiff learned about these events with deep sadness. In deploring this senseless act of brutality, he prays for the deceased victims and their families, for the wounded and the emergency personnel treating them, according to the text on the double suicide attack, which left a balance of at least 32 dead and 110 wounded.
